Gordon Sumner, PhD
Gordon Sumner is the first campaign ambassador to the team. We are working with Gordon, tapping into his vast philanthropic expertise developed leading 5,000 volunteers as National Director for the (US) National Committee for Employer Support of the National Guard and Reserve (ESGR).
Gordon has had a hugely successful career spanning several sectors including being: a Colonel in the US Military; managing director of SYColeman corporation; Presidential appointee; and President & CEO of Veterans Moving Forward. He also has various notable personal achievements to his name such as being awarded: The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire by Queen Elizabeth II; the British Army Air Corp Badge; US Secretary of Defence Medal for Exceptional Public Service; the Legion of Merit (OLC); Bronze Star Medal (Valor), and Purple Heart Medal. He was also the first American to command an attack helicopter squadron in the British Army.
Gareth Timmins
Gareth Timmins is a former Royal Marines Commando whose journey has led him to become not only a speaker and mindset coach but also an accomplished author of two books and a PhD candidate in Rapid Thinking. With such an impressive resume, Gareth embodies the perfect blend of experience and expertise to lead us as our coach for our daring Atlantic rowing expedition and his support will be instrumental every step of the way.
Gareth's guidance in psychological preparation is invaluable. Drawing from his diverse background, Gareth has provided us with direction in our preparation, equipping us with the mental fortitude and resilience needed to tackle the challenges ahead.
